The property was extended to the rear, cutting across the garden
at an angle under the extended first floor rear room, forming a covered
external terrace and adding a modern twist to the rear elevation.
Externally the building’s appearance was transformed by replacing
the existing UPVC windows with new grey painted softwood frames fitted
with double glazed units. Floor area was added to form a new open
plan family kitchen and living space at ground level. Converting
the loft provided a new studio room with en suite bathroom overlooking
the garden through a large dormer window. The bathrooms were redesigned
and upgraded to create a contemporary feel. Further images of this
project are available from the architects’ web site listed
